Adobe Photoshop CS4
5+ Hours

Hooray! My first real creation on photoshop cs4!
This is a yin-yang I made to show the ebb and flow between the forces of Nature. Symbolism 8D Sevlin at the top is representing the weather and Aquarius at the bottom is representing flora and fauna. Also, they have no mouths because they are to "speak" for nature but they only do so through their existence not their words.
Sevlin is being trailed by fog and Aquarius is wearing his leaf cloak, in case it's not good enough to be obvious :)
I am really proud that I could get the leaves outside of the circle to be inversed. It was really hard for me but I did it XD
I also worked hard on the shading. Sometimes (with the leaves and the fog especially DX) It was difficult but I think I got it.
I would like to thank :iconcomatoze: for the help with photoshop. This person was very nice to me and I encourage the entirety of the 4 who watch me to check out her gallery it is amazing :)
ALSO take a look at the gallery of :iconclouded-ambition: as she has always been so kind to me and has helped me understand the workings of photoshop. She is fantastic :)

I would love comments :) They help me grow as an artist anything is appreciated :)
Note: I made some other versions and I would like you to tell me which you think is best and I will most likely replace this on with the popular vote :)

This turned out really well! Your love of nature and how you always incorporate it it so evident here :)

Cell shading is tricky sometimes, but you did fine with it here, especially with where the light falls on the characters.

And lol, you're welcome. I'm looking forward to seeing more from you!

I'm a little confused about what you mean by cell shading as opposed to normal shading, though...

OH! sure no problem! Cell shading has a more 'blocky' kind of colouring style....uhm, how to explain. Games like Zelda:windwaker, Sly cooper, and (i think) the new prince of persia for ps3 are all cell-shaded games. it's just a form of coloring....like soft-shading is usually more blended together where there are no lines/clear division between the shades of each color. I suppose my style is a mix of the two, but every style is amazing. I don't think there is a 'normal' shading, it just depends on your own style, lol :D

Oh i see exactly what you mean. Like the difference between gradient-like color and change and just having two different colors next to eachother...? Thanks :)
